WHAT WE DO
Dr. Shirleas G. Washington is an evangelist, author, teacher, psalmist and intercessor. Dr. Shirleas founded Scholar Ministries in September 2015. Scholar Ministries is a 501c3 parachurch ministry that supports praise & worship gatherings, prison ministry, international mission trips, prayer clinics, conferences, workshops, retreats and itinerant speaking engagements.
Dr. Shirleas completed her ministry preparation through Global Univerity’s Berean School of the Bible in Springfield, MO. She holds credentials as a licensed minister in the General Council of the Assemblies of God.
Dr. Shirleas is married to Benjamin C. Washington, CPA. Together they serve in ministry at First Assembly of God in St. Peters, MO. Dr. Shirleas has an earned doctorate degree in education. After serving in public school education for over 25 years, she retired to full-time ministry.
Dr. Shirleas is an Auxiliary Chaplain at the Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center (WERDCC). She is an international short-term missionary who has ministered in Mexico, South America, Africa, Cuba and Belize. As an evangelist, Dr. Shirleas has received and accepted several invitations to speak at conferences and local churches around the United States.

Scholar Ministries delivers practical, Christ-centered teachings and training sessions with emphasis in:
1) Making disciples;
2) Dveloping the skills of worship leaders, musicians, singers, intercessors for effective ministry; and

STATEMENT OF BELIEF
We believe salvation is received by repenting and receiving forgiveness from God, and accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. The outward evidence is living a life of righteousness and holiness. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit endows power for life, service, witness and gifts for the works of ministry.
